Calgary police say a man in his 40s was stabbed twice in the face outside his southwest Calgary home on the night of May 22 after a neighbour allegedly directed racial slurs at him, following weeks of escalating racial remarks. The victim recovered, and a 41-year-old man was charged with assault with a weapon in what police call a hate-motivated attack.
